DKA+MDK metasearch hints

You can search in the DKA and in the MDK databases at the same time with the Anacleto metasearch engine. The Digital Image Library (MDK) is the central collection of images digitized in Hungarian libraries. You don't have to type accented letters and the lowercase/uppercase does not matter. The default query operator is AND, so you will get a list of the images that are described with all of the search terms in their bibliographic data. But you can use the OR operator, if you want to find any of the words typed, and the NOT operator, if you want to exclude a word. To search exact phrases and names enclose them in quotation marks. The ? sign replaces one letter, the * replaces one or more characters. In the list of hits the thumbnails with black border come from the DKA collection, and the rest are the images of the MDK. Click on the small pictures to get a normal-sized image, and then click again to display a larger view.

All of the following are valid search terms and the results are different:

aggtelek cseppko
"aggteleki cseppkobarlang"
aggtelek? cseppko*
aggteleki OR baradla
aggtelek NOT cseppko* NOT barlang

If your search is unsuccessful, we recommend trying truncation, or repeating the search with synonymous terms, or entering fewer search criteria. An other option is using the original webpage of the Anacleto search engine, where you can select from other Hungarian collections of images: http://kepkonyvtar.hu/metakereso/. If you get too many results, you can narrow your search by entering more search terms (separated with spaces).
